The SDI-Flanders testbed is a test environment set up by the Flemish Agency for Geographical Information (AGIV-FGIA). The testbed contributes to the setup of a Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) for Flanders. The testbed aims to help software developers to learn about, and experiment with the future components of the SDI-Flanders. It also offers a test environment for development of applications that uses information and components of the SDI.
The testbed exists of several projects focusing on different services, types of services and applications. If FGIA develops new features contributing to the SDI they will be added to the testbed. It is the goal of the SDI-Flanders to become an standards based implementation of a SDI taking in account the requirements of INSPIRE. It implements existing standards from NBN, CEN TC287, ISO TC211, OGC and othe ICT standards. Moreover the testbed will also be used to test specific profiles of these standards that can be used for Flanders.
The English version of this testbed is only a summary of the original testbed focuses on the testing of compliancy and interoperability with INSPIRE, OGC and other national and regional SDI’s
Access to the testbed
For being able to access the testbed and the different projects registration is needed. After approval one can request access for the different projects using the URL mentioned for each project. By requesting access one agrees with the terms of use of the testbed.
The request for access will be evaluated by FGIA. FGIA may deny access in all situations without being enforced to explain the reason for the denial.
